A cheeky goat. A bush Christmas. One big festive mess!

It's Christmas morning on Tash and Jim's sunny Aussie farm. The tinsel is hung, the presents are ready and the pavlova is piled high with berries and mangoes. But when everyone wakes up, nothing looks right. The tinsel has been nibbled, the presents munched and the baubles crunched. The prawns are bitten, the stockings are chomped, and Farmer Jim is holding up what's left of his thong!

"Someone ate Christmas!" So who is the culprit? Norman finds him behind the big water tank, with a bulging tummy, busy digesting. It's Jon-Jon the goat!

Jon-Jon is sorry, and he wants to fix what he's broken. So the whole farm heads into the bush to make Christmas again, with native flowers wound through the tinsel, gumnuts mixed with the baubles and a bush star on top. And when it seems there's nothing left to eat, the neighbours arrive, each with something to share. The day ends with a game of cricket in the evening sun and one very full goat snoozing under a tree.

Jon-Jon, The Goat Who Ate Christmas is a funny rhyming story for ages 3 to 6, and part of the Norman and Friends series. Its bouncy rhyme is made for listening together, whether in the car, at bedtime or in the classroom.

It's a true Australian Christmas, with summer sunshine, gum trees, prawns and pavlova instead of snow and sleighs. A warm, silly story about saying sorry, making things right and sharing with your neighbours. Perfect for Christmas Eve and for little ones overseas who have never had a Christmas in the sunshine.
