Auch wenn ich ein paar Twists vorausgesehen habe, war das eine sehr gute und spannende Geschichte. Auch dass die Hauptperson Charlie autistisch ist, fand ich gut.

At first I thought, this was just another coming-of-age-story with the hormonal turbulences that accompany it. True - but it is so much more. It’s about emancipation from confining small town in the US conditions and perspectives for an intelligent teenager. It‘s about the social handicaps of an out of marriage born autist. And above all it‘s a really good crime-mystery with all the makings of a superb thriller with it‘s steadily accelerating pace. Highly recommended!

Really good Story

As a science mathematics student, I don't like that in the end, she goes from "math to feminism", it's not mathematically logical.. does it means she never finds love? Does this mean she suddenly hates men? At first I liked her but knowing this in the end, bitter end, she doesn't seem that dream girl after all: disappointed. Also it puts my own future as a mathematician, in a very dark and lonely perspective on love. I don't like to feel conflicted and depressed. I was hoping on a typical "American story, through obstacles, but with a good ending." Not: how 1 sentence at the very end can drain a man's entire life energy. What's the point of being Sigma-a without a Girl-a. Story itself had some clever insights, worth listening for sure, the ending feels as if cutting corners, not at all the 'American extra mile', unfortunately, but the excitement of the narrator Paige Layle covers the lack of substantive story in the end up. I don't often write reviews, but the math part is so crucial in my own life that this struck a nerve, especially since I hold (my/our) America to at least a baseline of standards to be adhered to. Men and Women both. Movements are naive, impulsive, temporary and time bound, while true love is timeless in any range, domain or dimension. Anyway people fighting is also timeless, but hey you scriptwriter, at least give your characters love, or end with that.. or at least a perspective.. Well, back to Tom Clancy's war stories, since women however much I love them drive me crazy on so many different levels. Final note: Fight men, Love women, that is quite hard if women start doing the same.. think about it.

Die Story ist spannend und sehr gut vorgetragen. Auch die kleinen Hörspiel-Einlagen machen die Geschichte lebendig.

Only gripe with this is the main character is too normal for her condition. Might as well not have been an autistic character.
