The official prequel leading into the upcoming Aliens cooperative third-person survival shooter video game, Aliens: Fireteam, from Cold Iron Studios.
Dr. Timothy Hoenikker arrives on Pala Station, a Weyland-Yutani facility. Lured there by the promise of alien artifacts, instead he finds a warped bureaucracy and staff of misfits testing the effects of Xenomorph bio-materials on living creatures. Unbeknownst to the personnel, however, there is an infiltrator among them whose actions could spell disaster.
Also on staff is Victor Rawlings, a former marine who gathers together other veterans to prepare for the worst. As the personnel receive a delivery of alien eggs, the experiments spin out of control, and only the former Colonial Marines can stand between the humans and certain death.

- fühlt sich an wie etwas, was sich innerhalb des 'Alien'-Universums abspielt, also vom Feeling her und den Referenzen usw., einige Aspekte und Eigenheiten kommen aber auch neu dazu
- Teilweise sehr Grotesk und Blutrünstig, und zwar sehr gelungen, der eigentliche Grund, wieso ich gekommen bin
- gleichzeitig hab ich aber auch mehrere Male laut aus mir heraus lachen müssen weil der (meist schwarze) Humor echt gelungen ist, guter mix aus Horror mit gerade so viel Comedy-Elementen, dass es nicht stört/sich passend für eine Horrorstory wie diese anfühlt und nicht ablenkt
- Charaktere sind allgemein auch sehr gut gelungen und Portraitiert, fühlen sich sehr passend an
Als grosser Fan der Alien-Franchise hab ich das ganze ausserordentlich genossen :)

Die Story braucht ne weile bis sie los geht aber hat die typische Alien Atmosphäre.
Der Sprecher ist wirklich gut und das Setting ist meiner Meinung nach sehr ähnlich zu dem in Alien 3 wenn man Ripley aus der Gleichung nimmt .
Die Charaktere und deren Beweggründe für ihre Handlungen sind sehr unterschiedlich, was mir gefallen hat.
Das ende kram mir jedoch so vor als hätte der Autor nicht mehr viel zeit gehabt und es mal eben schnell schnell fertig geschrieben.
Was wirklich schade ist denn die patt Situation die am Anfang des Endes entsteht war wirklich sehr interessant.
Leider wurde damit nicht viel gemacht aber trotz allem habe ich die Story genossen.

tldr: it sucks. Really sucks. No matter how much I wanted to like it.
It focuses on absolute non-sense 75% of the team, builds useless characters and has no arc or resolution whatsoever (not even with the benefit of the doubt that the game serves up the resolution).
Avoid this mess. (🤬)
