Opinie krytyków

“Alexander does a lovely job of representing the historical details … without letting the facts distract from a tenderly told love story.” ( Publishers Weekly)

Enjoying different kinds of historical narratives this one I find outstanding. It´s storyline flows mostly soft and natural, and is still very suspenseful and lively. I was drawn in by the vivid description of the places and characters, enjoyed twist and turns, everything very believable and inartificial. What I liked most was the glimpses of deep thoughts and principles, but never presented schoolmasterly. Having heard the already very good trilogy of Belle Meade Plantation, this one is my present favorite of Tamera Alexander.

A truly splendid post-civil-war Romance
