The New York Times and Washington Post bestselling serial-killer thriller that will leave you wondering, is the past really in the past?

Three Chicago women have been found strangled, embalmed, and posed as if still alive. Doubting the findings of the local PD’s profiler, the FBI calls on forensic psychologist Zoe Bentley to investigate.

Zoe quickly gets off on the wrong foot with her new partner, Special Agent Tatum Gray. Zoe’s a hunter, intense and focused; Tatum’s a smug maverick with little respect for the rules. Together, they must descend into a serial killer’s psyche and untangle his twisted fantasies, or more women will die. But when the contents of three inconspicuous envelopes reveal a chilling connection to gruesome murders from Zoe’s childhood, suddenly the hunter becomes the hunted.

Netter Thriller

I love the book the story is captivating and moves at a good pace, the reader's overall performance is great. She is very good at giving live to the different roles that are part of the story which is very pleasurable to listen to. At first I thought that the reader dropped or swallowed the beginning of sentences, for most of the time the first and second word of a sentence were either not discernible or they would miss completely. At first I tried to correct this by decreasing the tempo of the Audiobook but that didn't help at all. But then I realised, that it sounded like the book was recorded one sentence at a time and then put together sloppily. So, I give 5stars each for performance and story, but only three stars overall for the sloppy way the recording was made.

Great Book, great performance, bad recording
