there is so much tension though that grinds between the MMCs and its well done and well paced. yes its fiction and not everything is realistic but thats the point imo.
(also pretty smutty)

I liked the story even though it went somewhere else than what I had expected (well, partly I expected to be surprised, and that was definitely achieved). It is well written and captivated me. Listened to it in 3 sessions and enjoyed the length of it. With other stories, I often feel like they are over very soon over but this one was very deep, unexpected, and much of the main character's behaviour was understandable to me.
Some content warning:
- There is a kink in the book that takes quite some space, but is, in my opinion, not a kink that is very well-known, discussed, or written about. Chances are high that it is not your kink. If kinks that you are not into are a no-go for you, I advise weighing up if you really want to buy the book. I loved reading about how they enjoy themselves. You sort of need the ability to let go... in my opinion
- About the question of misogyny that was addressed in another comment: It passed my mind when listening to the beginning of the book that the way women are treated here is not okay, but as I got to know the female characters in the book and their intentions, it felt less and less like misogyny. I would rather place behaviours of and towards women herein in the bins "kink" and "safety-assuring behaviour".
- The story has intense, heavy pieces that are tough to listen to for me, who has a history of trauma myself. There was one part quite far back in the story that was so intense - it was not triggering, but the story is so well written that I suffered with the storyline - so, I had to skip a minute or two... really needed it to be over :D...
- I strongly advise googling the content or trigger warning in advance of buying the book to ensure a pleasurable listening experience. Self-care is important ;)
I hope you enjoy reading, and hope this was helpful and didn't scare people away... I loved the voices of the narrators. And I am definitely going to listen to it again.
