When Yanni Tomaras is kicked out of his family home, his parents' final words are religious insults and an order to never return. Homeless and desperate, he's lured in by Lance - charming on the outside, an evil predator underneath - who abuses Yanni until he finds the courage to leave. Yanni should feel free. But by the time Spencer Cohen finds him, he's resigned to being handed back to Lance and once again being caged by fear.

Starting school and a part-time job, Yanni begins to reclaim his life. But a love for silent films leads him to Peter Hannikov, a man with a kind heart but who's twice his age. An unlikely friendship between them blooms into so much more. Neither man knows what he wants, at first. Finding out exactly what he needs is Yanni's story.

I love this series, and the way Joel Leslie makes it come alive. And I adored Yanni and Peter. The only problem I had was the Daddy kink part, which is very much not my kink. That is not the book's fault, however - and at least now I know, rather than suspect that it isn't my thing. I was sad to say goodbye to these characters because I've really come to love them. I highly recommend this series.

A beautiful story about chosen family, trauma and healing. Now it’s over and I have to say goodbye to my dear friends from this series, which is always sad. But I am thankful for this book series and Joel Leslie has done a fantastic job narrating all the volumes, giving each character their one distinct way of speaking, consistent in all the books of this series.

I adore Yanni and his ability to heal himself and to help others while doing so. I love his relationship with Peter, who is the perfect partner for him.
The complete series was great, I'd love to read more.
Joel Leslie gave all those people personality, I enjoy listening to him a lot.

Oh I love Peter so much, his not from this planet😅 I have been melting away throughout the whole book 🙈 . This includes so much love understanding soooo warmhearted 😢 This book is very deep and it’s giving back the real life the treatments we gave to our loved ones .
