Valx is a mystery of science. His blood is special - it allows his body to heal itself instantaneously, making him invincible. Scientists call it blood type X. To them, it is the cure for every disease in the world - if they can only uncode it. To the vampires, it is limitless power. When Valx escapes the horrors of the SCHNUET research facilities he comes to live with the Nightfall family, who do everything in their power to see that he does not fall back into the hands of SCHNUET. Or worse - the merciless vampire gang LDV. But when the LDV launch a surprise attack on Valx’s is hiding place, he is forced to entrust his life to the supposedly-peaceful vampires of Liberation Front X, risking betrayal to escape the hands of the brutal LDV. Escape brings a shocking revelation about the Nightfalls - the family Valx has loved and trusted - hard choices of loyalty.
