Miguel Rivera had it all: best-selling author status, a doting publisher, and the world at his feet.
Until his girlfriend left, and with her, his will to write. Now, trapped in what feels like a fatal case of writer's block, Miguel is on the brink of losing everything.
A grim message from his agent, Jonathan Harper, confirms his worst fears: he has until Monday to pitch a new novel, or he's out.
Seeking a desperate last chance, Miguel retreats to a secluded cottage away from the Miami distractions.
His initial attempts to find a story are fraught with setbacks.
But as the first day draws to a close, a breakthrough ignites his creative fire, restoring his hope.
However, out of nowhere, an unsettling yelp pierces the night.
Curious, Miguel ventures outside to investigate what could be going on behind the cottage.
His curiosity gets the better of him and he stumbles into a nightmare far more dangerous than any blank page.
He thought his career was on the line but now it's his life.
