Inhaltsangabe

With this book Immanuel Velikovsky first presented the revolutionary results of his 10-year-long interdisciplinary research to the public, founded modern catastrophism - based on eyewitness reports by our ancestors-shook the doctrine of uniformity of geology as well as Darwin's theory of evolution, put our view of the history of our solar system, of the Earth and of humanity on a completely new basis - and caused an uproar that is still going on today.

Worlds in Collision - written in a brilliant, easily understandable, and entertaining style and full to the brim with precise information-can be considered one of the most important and most challenging books in the history of science. Not without reason was this book found open on Einstein's desk after his death. For all those who have ever wondered about the evolution of the earth, the history of mankind, traditions, religions, mythology or just the world as it is today, Worlds in Collision is an absolute must-listen!

Fascinating AUTHOR with broad knowledge of history

diving into this book, written in the 1950s, will make you hold your breath at certain points caused by a captivating, inspiring and acknowledging form connecting world's history, myths of world's peoples with an untypical mind-set developing a theory about what might (really) has happened four and a half millennia ago and again two and a half millennia ago to the solar system, earth's eco-system, mankind as well as to what extant the collisions might have impacted cultural behaviours all around the globe at least theoretically forming out new believes and specific fear-based new behaviours woven into ancient narratives of believes and religions. The author Immanuel Velikovsky never leaves the reader with too much unchallenged scientific speak by repeating reflexively necessary points, names and instances. On top Velikovsky's passion for connecting the dots includes scripture's EXODUS story also woven into the first chapter of the book as a constant theme for consideration...
The author has a damaged reputation within the scientific society but the open-minded reader should not be bothered by that as Velikovsky supplies his theory with well-researched hints supporting a smart brain fundamentally.
I give the READER, the STORY and the BOOK each 5 stars as an high-five all together!!!!!
