I don't have a problem with the overall story, but the ending just killed the series. The arguments to let the guy at the end live even though he's mentally unstable and has quite a bit of military might behind him make no sense if one considers that the main characters kill junkies just because they are junkies. I also looked into how the story continues in the next book and they have nothing but problems and put other ppl in danger just because they didn't want to kill one lunatic who's obviously beyond help in the new world order they find themself in.
And if not killing him was so important they could've just taken him as a prisoner so he at least can't harm even more ppl.

This just killed the series
