Great story if you pay attention
I picked up this audiobook because the kindle text was even more expensive and I was intrigued by the story concept.
I wasn't disappointed at all.
However, the plot and world-weaving (building doesn't describe it's intricacy here) is something that you won't grasp if you listen while on the go, doing other tasks, or getting sleepy. If you miss one nuance, you better go back, because a skipped passage knocks you off the story, which might explain quite a few of the negative reviews the text version got
Seldom had such an immersive read because of that. :-)

So engaging
Dramatic reading brings a high quality story to life! Anything by Wells has rich characters and complex relationships with a compelling plot.
