The rivalry between the woman is not too bitchy like in other book and the protagonist is an independent and grounded woman.
The interactions and trust in Fate is also well written and plausible. Sometimes I think his decisions are somehow cruel but they make sense in the long run. It's quite interesting what he wants to indicate.
The concept of Fate is very interesting
