Der Schreibstil ist nicht schlecht, das Buch ist gut gesprochen, aber der Funke wollte einfach nicht überspringen. Normalerweise würde ich meine Bewertung weiter begründen, aber irgendwie habe ich schon zuviel Zeit in dieses Buch investiert. Lediglich zu einer Szene möchte ich sagen, dass ich diese wirklich richtig gelungen fand: Als Katie in der Oper auf ihre Vergangenheit trifft. Da konnte ich Cassidys Gefühle förmlich mitempfinden und hatte eine Gänsehaut. Ich hätte mir mehr solcher Momente gewünscht.
