I did like the FMC, but the narrator for the MMCs…I found his voice a little bit too harsh. I did struggle with the first part of the book, too muc info dumping and world building which did not really integrate into the plot. It’s an OK read for me.

Overall, I liked this book. The voice actors are mostly doing a great job. Sometimes I was confused if a character was speaking or just thinking something. The characters and plot are well constructed - but the writing is so bad at times, it’s really hard to follow. Especially in the more exciting scenes, I could barely understand what was going on because the scene kept shifting without enough explanation. Hoping that book 2 will be better edited.

he is so Damon Salvatore coded, and so much better for Arvelle than Tiernon. Also like the concept of taking someones powers when you kill them.

The plot was good and thought through. The FMC is relatable and true to herself, not annoying, whiny or overly fierce. However, I did not enjoy the male voice actor. He sounded way too old for most of the MCs. Like in his 60s. I will probably read book 2 instead of listen to it.
