Peter Capaldi erzählt nicht nur, er performt die epische Geschichte um Hazel, Fiver, Bigwig und die anderen Hasen so intensiv und atemberaubend, das ich Watership Down in meinen inneren Augen regelrecht vor mir gesehen habe.
Er schafft es jedem Charakter seine eigene Stimme zu verleihen und es macht mir so viel Spaß ihm dabei zuzuhören.
Mein liebster Doctor spricht meine liebste Geschichte. Für mich gibt es keine bessere Kombination neben fishfingers and custard ;)
Zur Geschichte selbst werde ich nicht mehr sagen, außer: Zu Recht ein Klassiker!

Eine großartige Geschichte großartig gelesen. Peter Capaldi findet den richtigen Ton für jeden einzelnen Charakter, jeder mit unverkennbarer Stimme, jeder einzigartig.
Man fühlt sich, als säße Adams höchstselbst im Lehnstuhl, um die Geschichte zu erzählen.

Ich kenne die Geschichte auf deutsch und englisch inundauswendig, aber in dieser Version hab ich mich neu in sie verliebt. Immer wieder!
