Wonderfully written saga of WWII. Providing an overall view, it is one of the best novels of the war.

Definitely a new view on the second world war, at least for me. The narrator is great, except for the parts where he is singing. But I applaud his singing efforts.

I really really like long books, and I am grateful that audible did not chop it and sells it piecemeal.

Aufwändig recherchiert und brilliant geschrieben. Umso eindrucksvoller, als das es von deutschen Zeitzeugen mir gegenüber validiert wurde

Eine Geschichte die immer wieder fesselt

Ein Roman mit vielen interessanten und authentischen Daten, die für mich neu waren. Spannende Familiengeschichte mit historischen Hintergrund. Für mich allerdings manchmal zu viele technische Details zur Kriegsführung, Kämpfen, Schiffen etc. Vorlesung einfach fenomenal, habe ich sehr genossen.
