I'm so sad the book has a last page. I wished it was going on and on.
But: such is life. It starts and it ends.
The in-between is up to us.
Yareli Arizmendi is good to listen to and she gave Violeta a memorable voice.
I'm 69. Way to go according to Violeta's. The story gives amongst other valuable insights a wonderful perspective to old age. Thank you both women for the great pleasure I had.

it was not my favourite work of Allende's but it doesn't disappoint. Not as moving or gripping as Eva Luna or House of Spirits but still a captivating story about a strong matriarch that allows herself to be raw and vulnerable. Yareli Arizmendi is a great fit.
