typisch Allende
Eine spannende Familiengeschichhte im Schatten der Geschichte Chiles. Allende versteht es beides gut miteinander zu verknüpfen.

Isabel Allende is the exceptional writer for me
I'm so sad the book has a last page. I wished it was going on and on.
But: such is life. It starts and it ends.
The in-between is up to us.
Yareli Arizmendi is good to listen to and she gave Violeta a memorable voice.
I'm 69. Way to go according to Violeta's. The story gives amongst other valuable insights a wonderful perspective to old age. Thank you both women for the great pleasure I had.

interesting and true to Allende's style
it was not my favourite work of Allende's but it doesn't disappoint. Not as moving or gripping as Eva Luna or House of Spirits but still a captivating story about a strong matriarch that allows herself to be raw and vulnerable. Yareli Arizmendi is a great fit.
