Über diesen Titel

Malrosa is a princess of the Athanatos, powerful immortal insect people who have been systematically assaulting Vita's island for years.

When Vita ends up fusing her soul with her, the resulting gestalt must struggle to reconcile her conflicting viewpoints and beliefs. Now in love with two homes and full of perspective her old self lacked, Vita must bring peace between warring islands... and if there's one thing Vita has always been bad with, it's peace.

This is the fourth and final book of Vigor Mortis.

Das Hörbuch hat mir unglaublich gefallen Das Ende war etwas ungewöhnlich, aber nichts, desto trotz genial

Genial und tolles Ende

Kept me engaged through the whole thing, which is not always easy going on 80 hours of story. The general themes are similar to the other books. The ending was a little sad but satisfying nontheless.

Solid end to the series

And not one I entirely enjoyed, but it's still good. The characters remain the lovable monsters they were, the narration remains fun.

What changes drastically is the scope of the story. We go from one island to multiple, to island clusters, to the whole soul farm, and beyond.

The protagonist also changes a lot. Ultimately in good ways, but we've never been further from the scared little girl we rooted for in volume 1, Which is a mixed blessing.

I can understand why some people might not like this volume, but I still had a lot of fun with it. I only hope we'll get to see the war on the Watcher in some capacity eventually. The story so far made the thing far too hateable to not make me want to see it die.

An unexpected departure from the previous books

Normally I strongly dislike the change in Performers between volumes but I have to give credit where credit is due. Helen Laser took over and performed quite nice. The story also has a nice end to it and the character development is well written. I would have given 5/5 stars if not for the performer change, just for consistency.

Different Performer but still awesome

What the heck was that? Confusing, bloated and in general a very strange ending for a series that was until the end of book two interesting. A new concept of a world and an interesting story until book two but you clearly noticed that the author was bored with the characters and only phoning it in.

Honestly it soured the entire series for me.

I am glad it is over
