A young girl raised in the slums, living a hard life always on the edge of starvation, and then awakening a dark trait, so based on that you have assumptions about what kind of book this is, but forget them, this book breaks genre conventions by letting everybody behave like human beings. There are so many humans behaving like humans in this book, it is honestly breathtaking. And despite the dark setup it is an uplifting story just for the sheer humanity ever present.

Is Vita the cutest? yes.
Is the story well written? also yes.
Good character development, and the author is really great at making inhuman characters ... human.
I think I got here by a LitRPG search somehow, it isn't a LitRPG l .that shouldn't stop you however unless you are looking for numbers, it scratches the itch.

The mc is nice and somehow powerfull, but defenatly to powerfull. She is sometimes badass, but not really. She is a child who wants to help other, with a weird twist.
