You should have listened to shifter god, the first book in this series, to fully understand the story. In this book the heroine Pip is much less likable than in the first book. She is constantly (!) mouthing off, but not in a witty or bad@ss way. Instead she only seems very immature and rude and is quite annoying. Nevertheless the story itself is captivating if you can deal with the heroine‘s tantrums. The narration is great.
