At first I thought this was mediocre, but after the not-as-good beginning, it really worked. I recommend buying it, after listening to the test

A Tier for me

These types of stories suffer from what I'd like th call the "One Punch Man problem". How do you make a story entertaining, when the protagonist is, for all intents an purposes, omnipotent? It's difficult, but I believe this book does it as well as it could, given the premise. The comedy is decent, but after a few hours of bickering between a dragon and his minions, I got bored of it. Not much else to say. Maybe the story just wasn't my style.

Worth it. Not as good as perfect run but absolutely recommendable. The story is written from the dragon perspective with is quite different and creates a lot of comedic situations.

Fun story

Vainqueur the Dragon and his newly recruited minion Viktor go forth into the world to solve quests, gain gold and vanquish monsters which are evil and have to be destroyed. The unique viewpoints of Vainquer and Viktor, other peculiar characters and a good chunk of humor make the book pretty enjoyable.
Jack Voraces does a great job with the reading, especially Vainqueurs voice is just perfect.

Imaginative

Voice sounds like youtuber thoughty2.
Strong accent, completely over the top intonation, someone could twirl his fingers and it would sound like a scandalous sensation of epic emotions.

Der drache gibt sich anfangs noch bedrohlich, schon kurze zeit später bemerkt er nicht wenn seinetwegen die augen rollen.
Der hauptcharakter bekommt die kraft eine Wyver zu beschwören, der drache weiß das, trotdem lamentiert er das "fremdgehen" (auf der wyver reiten) mit der theatralik einer verzogenen 14jährigen.
An dem punkt hab ichs nichtmehr ausgehalten.

Everything is good. Except the dragon... Who is the main character.

Also the narrator is a bit overenthusiastic. Any character that is ever described as chuckling or laughing, in the narrators voice laughs in every single line, which is truly obnoxious to listen to.

Cool concept, annoying characters

Kaum zu Hören. Der Sprecher ist über-begeistert und der innere Monolog des Drachen ist nicht auszuhalten. Musste leider nach 45min abbrechen, da die Geschichte einfach nur schlecht ist. Tut mir echt leid für den Autor und die Mühe, die natürlich in jedem Buch steckt. Ja klar, es ist irgendwie LitRPG und es hätte gut sein können. Tolle Beispiele wie gut es funktionieren kann sind ja z.B. "Everybody loves large Chests", in denen das Monster plötzlich levelt und zum Hauptcharakter der Geschichte wird. Oder aber die Reihe von "He Who Fights with Monsters" oder die packende Shamanen-Reihe von Vasily Mahanenko. Das Konzept stimmt, leider hat wohl der Lektor geschlafen oder es gab keinen. Anders sind die langweiligen und merkwürdigen Gedanken des allmächtigen Drachen in der Geschichte nicht nachzuvollziehen.
