First: Kevin Hely was amazing as always and managed to draw me into the story perfectly.
The dialog and especially the humor are also great as usual in typical Derek Landy fashion.

But for my taste the story had a slight problem with power escalation. No spoilers: multiple world-ending threats at the same time (or directly consecutive) with higher and higher stakes, conclusions that were a bit underwhelming/lackluster and twists that were a bit weird/far fetched.

As a long-time fan I will definitely keep reading the series, but this one was, unfortunately, not my favorite entry. Still pretty enjoyable though.
