Most of the story feels like written by a child. I can't really name anything interesting in the story except the idea of making magic through music, but even that idea loses most of it's draw after one realises that the magic system has no thought behind it, it's just play some music, something happens.
Also, nearly all conversations are very unrealistic, again more like a child has written them.
