Once more we get a book by Melissa Brayden that contains lots of witty banters and wonderful friendship scences. What I didn't expect was that Maddison is put in between the whole love story. At some point in the story I thought they worked things out and that they can continue being friends and Gabriella and Ryan can concentrate on themselves.
I mean they definitely have great chemistry and at the beginning I was totally rooting for them. But the longer the book goes, the more there are misunderstandings that were delivered in a way I struggled again. Mostly my heart went out to Maddison during this book and didn’t understand Gabriella at some point. For me she had a bit of a strange way showing Maddison how much she cared for her. At least it was mentioned several times that she does, but for me her actions just showed something else.
This story fell a bit flat to me once again. Yes it's wonderfully written, but the drama was just too much for me or the not talking to each other. I know it's the well-known rule in romance books, that this happens. But I still struggle with it and believe that there are books out there that handle conflicts in a better way.
So if you're a fan of Melissa Brayden and loved Entangled I'm sure you will also love this book. I'm definitely still looking forward to Maddison's & Clementine's story. There is just something about Maddison that touches me and I wanna see her happy.
And before I forget, I wanted to mention that once more Melissa Sternenberg was fantastic delivering this story. She definitely is the perfect fit for Melissa Brayden's books.
