I didn’t expect to like this story so much. But I’m glad that I do. Beautiful characters. The romance between the side characters was incredibly captivating. The tension and humour in this book was amazing. Absolutely loved this performance of the reader, I felt the emotions through the performance. 10/10

No fae, mates, dagons, or shadow daddies like in most fantasy stories these days, but rather a dark and twisted tale that makes you feel the mist on your skin and hear the whisper of the Spirit of the Woods as you read. It took me a little while to fully immerse myself in the story, but in the end, I truly loved the characters and the beautiful symbolism woven throughout, especially the recurring motif of the trees.

Be wary, be clever, be good.

The magic elements and characters in this story are written wonderfully. This is the book that you want after reading the first part. It keeps on the same great dark atmosphere as the first, continues the plot and leans into more of the other character's thoughts and backgrounds.
