Es war eine unterhaltsame Geschichte, die mich erreicht hat. Die Handlung war von Beginn an etwas versponnen und märchenhaft, auch der traurige Anfang erinnerte mich an das schwere Los mancher Märchengestalten. Ich mochte die Hauptperson trotz ihrer Eigenarten, die im realen Leben sicher gewollt zufällig, extrem lebensfremd und vermutlich nervenaufreibend wirken würden. Ich mochte auch die Verwicklungen und die Entfaltung des männlichen Hauptcharakters vom Grump zum sensiblen ....naja, vielleicht zu gespoilert, wenn ich weiterschreibe. Meine Hauptaussage habe ich getroffen. Die Sprecherin fand ich ebenfalls ungewohnt, aber passte gut zum Ganzen. Mich erinnerte das Buch etwas an 'The Nothing Girl'.
