Can't say much about world building since this book was mostly on earth but the story never bored me with unstoppable floods of exposition while still explaining more or less what was happening in the big picture.
The whole power system if left mostly vague wich is better in my opinion since it makes the fights feel more grounded in reality than in game logic.
Most characters feel believeable and act according to their established motivations.
The protagonist is coherent, thinks through problems in a believeable manner, doesn't do anything egregiously stupid just to further the plot and normally takes deceisive actions when needed.
Overall a very good story with many interesting and well written characters.
If I had to nitpick then I would've 3 points to make:
1. The time of the protagonist being an unintelligent zombie coul've been cut in half in my opinion
2. I found it a little hard to believe that the enemy vampire mage was able to grow even faster than the protagonist even though he stayed in one location with much weaker enemies for the most time
3. That the vampire god and the demon god were able to do so much on earth with nobody on their power lvl really interfering until the protagonist came into the picture was also a little hard to believe after I got the explanation about the eternal war
