Cody Rivers, the Goth with guy liner, tattoos and studded leather and Lucas Norwood, the cardigan conservative student from the back of beyond Iowa, couldn't be more different. They meet at a low-budget tv-production at LA. Their slow but hot and respectful gravitation towards each other despite all the rivalry among the groups, back-stage politics and growing pressure of the elimination rounds, simply pulls me in every time I re-read this story. When Lucas tells Cody to be his real self and not try to hide it because they are going to have dinner with his parents, I am simply melting away. The playlist Annabeth Albert provides at the end further shows her gift for vibrant details and is great fun checking out!

Gosh, is it really true that I had been waiting for the „Perfect Harmony Series“ to be turned into an Audio Book version for 4!!! years?! The long waiting has been worth every minute though! Brad King is a new narrating voice in my Audio Book librabry and he has done an amazing job bringing Lucas, Cody, Michelin and the whole whirlewind song competition „alive“. Feels like Mr. King really knows the song/show and backstage business as he sounds at home in this surrounding. And he makes Cody sound like I always imagined him to be! Those two lovable young men with the nerve wracking eliminations and their huge personal changes sweep me into their story time and again. As a true Trevor fan my only little letdown had been his voice, sounding way too squeaky for my liking.
Thanks soooooooooooooooooooo very much for this unabriged and vivid 11 ½ hours listening enjoyment!
