Seventeen-year-old Eli has been in a near-fatal car crash. As the anniversary looms, his therapist and family struggle to help him deal with the fall out. The accident has left him emotionally numb, with no memory of the months following the crash.

Desperate to feel something again, Eli winds up at an underground club called Traumaland. But this is no ordinary nightclub. Here he joins crowds of other emotionally numb people, all seeking to experience a new thrill by entering virtual reality simulations of nightmarish scenarios through the points of view of various characters.

i really liked the Story and the speaker. i am so greatful that my children are healthy and are not suffring from any mental deseas. I care for those who does.

Sure you may borrow high concept ideas and try your own twist, but please add some new ideas. Traumaland is one of these stories that rely completely on every character behaving like he's the stupidest mofo on earth in any given situation. You see every twist coming from a hundred pages away, it's like a room full of mousetrap but our heroes insists on doing tap dance in there. If this was written by a kid, you'd say well good try but as Silvers clearly an adult who keeps referencing ancient pop trivia no kid of today would have heard of, this is really disappointing. Kudos to the narrator who's really good though.
