I have had a problem with Ms Daniels' almost robotic way of narrating since the first book. (My AI student kid walked in on me listening and thought it was a computer animated voice) Especially her almost clinical rendition of love scenes gives off textbook vibes. Oftentimes the emphasis and timing or lack thereof borderline warps the expression intended. At least she mostly got the European phonetics for the dog commands right, up to this installment. This time she often doesn't. It gets to a point where it takes away from the enjoyment of the book. I might just go back and buy them for reading myself. The story definitely warrants a fun read.
