Full of self-deprecating humor and unrelenting optimism, Trades is the anthology of a hopelessly awkward yet adventurous soul. This book provides an intimate and honest look at an amazingly fortuitous yet inauspicious life. From motorcycle racing in Bangkok to encounters with international secret service agents to founding a company with violent rap moguls, the engaging anecdotes unfold. Each narrative in this fascinating memoir shows the sordid and sometimes comical side to the trades.
Generating over $100 million in revenue by way of four companies in less than five years, Tom Searcy has lived a remarkable life. He has conquered the Grand Canyon - rim to rim in a single day. He has run marathons, competed in triathlons, and written four books, one of which became a best seller. Tom's greatest accomplishment, however, comes in the form of his beautiful wife and three amazing children. After a life-time battle with epilepsy and a sudden heart attack, Tom wants people to remember that the unpleasant moments in your life only make the beautiful moments shine that much brighter.
