The doctor can heal me, but can he keep me safe?

My brother has been embezzling from his employers. Unfortunately, when I accidentally discover that information, I end up hurled straight into the Potomac. If it weren’t for Dr. Derek Carlisle, I’d be fish food.

When he offers more than medical help, I bolt. It’s not his job to protect me, even if the older man is everything I’ve ever wanted.

The young man needs a protector.

From the moment I see him, I know Seb is more than a patient. I’ve never been tempted to cross the patient/doctor line before. For him? I’ll do it in a heartbeat.

His brother wants to hurt him, and he needs someone to keep him safe. Me. Except, I can’t keep my hands off of him. Is a man as inexperienced as Seb ready for something more than a few nights of fun? I need to find out before keeping him safe breaks my heart.

Touch and Go features heroes with an age gap, danger lurking all around, and a healthy dose of hurt/comfort. The brothers of Vanguard Towers are at the front lines of love, and Derek is only the first to fall.

The young man with his mesmerizing eyes in the ER ticks off all of Dr. Derek's boxes and at the same time triggers old memories from his years of experiences in the foster care system. Something is wrong with Sebastian and Derek does what he does best : help and protect. Seb is in real live threatening danger the brothers of Vanguard Towers discover instantly, but Derek's heart also is in danger. Despite the age gap between him and Seb the sparks of attraction are flying high!

I looooove a good series :) and „Touch and Go“ by Aiden Bates is a promising start with an thrilling setting. Derek has 7 amazing foster brothers, he had met in the system at some time. All 8 men built a maybe odd but stunning family together caring deeply for each other. And all exept the youngest work at the front lines for search&rescue, fire, law enforcment and ER to now make a difference in other persons' lives. The mix of suspense and romance grabbed me and did not release me before the end.

Joseph Thorson has done a brilliant job giving the men of Vanguard Towers their distinctive voices and bringing out their emotions. Derek sounds perfectly like the tall, determined, strong and caring man I imagined his character to be. Mr.Thorson's voice variantions are amazing, as at the same time he brings out Seb's younger, softer personality and his hurt and confusion. Each time Seb was mooning over „Dr. Dish“, it was so sweet. Nearly 8 hours of pure listending enjoyment and the 8 heros are so amazing, I can't wait to learn more about each of them!
