This Book is a reminder of how horribly women are still being treated nowadays!!! It keeps one wondering about how differently she would have been treated by society, the justice system, the media and by her own family if she was a male!!! Still, her strenght is encouraging and inspiring! See for yourselves…

Wow! I loved Britney when I was growing up. Could sing all her songs by heart. This book was absolutely necessary! I could Not believe just what kind of cruelty Britney had to suffer by the hands of her own family. Unbelievable! I am so glad she is alive to tell her own story and share it.
Also Michelle Williams was such a great narrator! Loved this book!

How could anyone consistently break someone down and call themselves family? Nice to hear out of all the humilliation and trauma Britney has found a new peace in her misunderstood freedom. I truly wished for Britney to narrate this herself but Michelle Williams did a fantastic job at it. Clearly, some passages got to her too as her mellow voice changes when the story calls for it. Easy listen and very insightful about how many of us grew up in this time where people’s bodies and personal lives were attacked mercilessly. Very relatable and truly heartbreaking.

Although there are not many surprises in the book, with her life always being on public display and the free-britney movement having already unveiled her odyssey, it is still heartbreaking and often infuriating listening to her account of events. Excellent choice of narrator too.
