The language, the performance, the story. All of it is beautiful. Anyone even remotely interested in Fantasy novels should give the Kingskiller Chronicles a try. Also as a woman it always makes me gleeful how well all the women are written.

Wer schon den genuss hatte, rothfuss zu lesen (auch endlich sein 2. buch, the wise man's fear), der bekommt mit diesem hörbuch das sahnehäubchen dazu... Bzw. mit DEN hörbüchern... Insbesondere gehört mein dank und mein lob dem wundervollen, beindruckenden sprecher: er gibt den verschiedenen charakteren den richtigen ton, die passende stimme, den füllenden klang. Er gibt der geschichte und den personen diese lebendige konturen, die für ein hörbuch das a und o sind... Ein genuss!
Für mich war das hörerlebnis die ideale ergänzung zum leseerlebnis, hat den spannungsbogen erweitert und verstärkt, hat lust auf mehr gemacht...Mit spannung erwarte ich nun den nächsten band ... und das nächste hörbuch dazu...

So even if you already bought the books and usually think it isn't worthwile having also the audiobooks, just make an exception and enjoy the life given to the characters through the wonderful voice(s) of Rupert Degas...

This is so hard. Itś a beautiful story and extremly well thought through. There are no loose ends, everything is plausible.

The only thing that may keep someone from listening or reading the book is, that the 3. book isn`t out yet, and since its been a few years...who knows when it'll come out. But i love the story anyway.

One of the most epic tales

Eine klasse Geschichte, die keine Wünsche übrig lässt und in sich schön stimmig ist.

Mir bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass die Geschichte weitergehen wird. Am liebsten bald.

Ein Meisterwerk

Rothfuss hat zusammen mit dem Sprecher ein Meisterwerk abgeliefert.
Erst brauchte ich ein paar Momente mich an den Sprecher zu gewöhnen aber ab dann war es super! Die englische Originalfassung steht der deutsch in nichts nach und anders rum natürlich auch nicht.
Aber rothfuss ist ein Freund von Wortspielen und geschickter Retorik und einige Details lassen sich nur im englischen entschlüsseln.

Für wahre Kingkiller chronikels fans ein MUSS!

Eines der besten Hörbücher die ich bisher gehört habe. Schon als Buch sind die Kingslayer Chronicles fantastich aber Rupert Degas haucht diesen erst richtig Leben ein.

Rupert Degas ist für mich schnell zu DER Stimme von Kvothe geworden und auch die anderen Charaktere stellt er fantastisch dar.

Jetzt wo ich Buch 2 (beide Teile) fertig gehört habe bin ich etwas traurig. :)

The story is fascinating and the speaker is much more pleasant than in the 1st volume. He makes different characters coming alive but without the sometimes shrieking voice of the first volume. The almost 43 hours seemed like 10 :-)
