The Vagrant is his name. He has no other.

Years have passed since humanity’s destruction emerged from the Breach.

the audiobook production and speaker are amazing! the story is just not entirely my taste, slightly too heavy, dark and melancholic for me personally. though I think it is a great idea and setting so I can imagine that it is an excuisite listen for the right audience!

The whole story is not just told in 3rd person, but in a very indirect 3rd person. The result almost sounds poetic at times. The problem however is that it completely robs the main characters of any agency, stuff just happens to them//hem, and on the rare occation he does something active, it is just as unexplained and comes of as deus ex machina.

The world is pretty interesting though, and the indirect story telling helps reveal it only very very slowly. It is unfortunately ruined by the world is also being very logic soft, you can't really reason about how things are depending on what you are told, because the writer is not very strict with hard world-building or hard logic, it is all very wishy-washy, so you have to wait until the writer reveals what he thinks need explaining.

A first quite confusing but in total really fun tale in a unique style.
Also very good speaker.
