I didn't like the way the female speaker did the "Hatendellian dialect" (British accent), because she made James sound like the Queen herself was speaking :(
But the book itself was very good, although it dragged a bit in the middle.

Great Story

The story was suspenseful but too much political games and intrigues for me. Also I don't know the previous four books so especially in the beginning it was difficult to keep up with all this background information. But for someone who knows and loves the previous books, this book will for sure be very enjoyable. As for me, I don't know yet whether I will read/listen to part two.

happy to discover more about previous characters like Bronwyn and Ahnna, and new ones like James ,Hazel or King Eddie (his voice narration is 5*!!)

So let‘s start with the obvious: Danielle L Jensen really knows how to execute enemies to lovers, also: Dual POV. And the narrators are 🤩 I’m no Audiobook-Girly. Usually opting for easy reads, or books I already read with my own eyes before. But I loved the Bridge Kingdom and I had to know Ahnnas Story. I’m still looking forward to getting my hands on a physical copy of the book, but the narrators do a really good job in bringing the different characters to life. Also the story is glorious, easy to follow, if you read the books before this one, but rich enough to keep me on my toes and the plot twists. Ugh! 😣 Can’t wait for the next book!
