Abercrombie certainly knows how to write witty dialogues and a good story arch. Pacey also nails the narrating. Splendid performance altogether!

I highly recommend this and am eager for the next one!

Really, the only thing that annoyed me about the book were the quite plain anti-male vibes occurring, specifically anti-old-white-male. They felt a bit forced, to be honest. Now, I don't have anything against an old white male getting kicked in the ass by a smart woman, but it could do without the generalizing women's march phrases. ;)

I searched for many years now after reading the first law for books like this and have found none! Only Joe Abercrombie can write books that good.

I wasn t sure after the first book of this serie as it was so soft and nice characters everywhere.

Joe Abercrombie manages to weave his stories along similar patterns and archetypes of personalities while still creating surprises and astonishing turns of the plot. Personally, I also admire his approach to the challenges of and for women, indicating that it is not about men or women, but in the combination of skills that we will find the best results. Awesome audiobook series. Looking forward to the last chapter!

Great story

Its quite violent and gory at times. But the characters are super interesting. And change and develop over time. Most are multi facetted and are hard to hate or love. And the violent details reads like an anti war novel. All in all. Great!

In my opinion this is one of his best books! Awesome Characters, very well thought out plot, Abercrombie wit and humor...I cant wait to read the next!

Dies ist eine super Fortsetzung einer gelungenen Geschichte. Freue mich auf den Abschluss im kommenden Teil. Die Geschichte fesselt vom Start und überrascht immer wieder. Toll!

Everything I like about Abercrombie. And wonderfully read by Steven Pacey. So well, in fact, that I'll search for more books he's narrating. He brings out the best in them.
