I loved the entire story and the way it was narrated. The connections drawn to history was very impressive. Definitely recommend this audio book.

Was für eine Geschichte. 1917 sucht eine schwangere 16jährige Zuflucht in Papa Jack's Toy Store, einem wahrhaft magischen Spielzeuggeschäft, in dem es Wälder aus Papier und Patchwork-Hunde gibt, die ihren echten Vorbildern in nichts nachstehen. Und die Söhne des Besitzers, die zuerst nur darum konkurrieren, wer das großartigste Spielzeug erschaffen kann.
Ein märchenhaftes, romantisches, rührendes Buch, das wahrhaft in eine andere Welt entführt.
