Under the three moons of Ymir, Emblyn has been anointed by the gods to rid the world of evil at the point of an enchanted sword. An old friend from her childhood, Joel, finds that he cannot rest easily, for dreams of the future haunt him. In those visions, he has seen the Anointed One fall in battle, which he fears will herald the rise of darkness. Out of a sense of duty and love for his old friend, he sets out to warn her of the danger.
