Set in the obsessive world of UK carp fishing, The Syndicate (R.I.P.) Part II is a darkly humorous story about the anglers, waters and strange culture that surrounds the pursuit of giant carp.
The Syndicate (R.I.P.) Part II, the second book of the nine carp fishing novels comprising The Syndicate Series Volume 1 & 2, takes off from where the first book ended and sees its narrator, Matt Williams, embark on the next leg of his remarkable carp angling journey.
Originally published in paperback format in 2000, this second installment sees fate conspire to afford Matt the opportunity to reunite with his old syndicate partner, Rambo, on the carp fishing holiday of a lifetime.
Once in France, at the beautiful Lac Fumant, the pair meet a myriad of crazy carp angling characters where madness, mayhem, temptation - and the capture of large carp - all ensue.
It's a volatile combination that combines to create one of the funniest books in the whole series.
