Welcome to The Surf HouseA beautiful guesthouse on the wave-pounded shores of Morocco.
Sparkling seas, bright blue skies, nothing and no-one for miles.
But then you hear the first whisper…
The woman who stayed here before you – who walked the same beaches, met the same guests – disappeared one year earlier, vanishing without a trace.
Every room tells a story. Every guest hides a secret. Every holiday has an end.*

The first 2 were unbearable. Yet she has a way with words that attracted me again.
This one now is a better listen. It's stil dragged out very much But once you've understood that Lucy Clarke doesn't do plots nor exciting books, you're okay.
The reader is quite good. What hurts me personally is the British way of imitating an Irish accent. Usually there is the Dublin Ooyy for I (which is exclusively Dublin) the proper rrr at the endings of words and some sort of a slow heaviness which is probably a clichee for the Irish soul that has never been spoken by any of us. To learn that Aidan is a Donegal man, where people have a complete Northern accent and to hear the Dub attempts had me in stitches. But that's probably only a thing for Irish listeners.
Summary: if you are looking for a light read or audiobook and if you're fond of beautiful language, go for this one.
not as bad as the others
