Great listen - though in parts very compelex
I very much enjoyed this book; but was lost in the complexity in certain parts of it (despite a background in Cognitive Science). But overall, I think this book is a very important read/listen for anyone even remotely interested in what’s coming at us in the next few decades (but also in putting our history - human history - into perspective). Particularly Chapter 4 is a MUST for every member of society. Alone for Chapter 4, this book should be bought/taught.

Highly intelligent - deeply humanistic - extremly challenging
Thank you Ray Kurzweil for this excellent book.
Highly informative and brilliantly narrated.
Personally, I do not have serious doubts about the content of the book.
I am no engineer and more inclined towards the arts, literature and social sciences.
However, I highly appreciate technology as part of human development.
In the interest to really capture the essence of this excellent book, I have also looked through the novel "Danielle" written by the same author with the intention to facilitate access to his ideas.
In the book "Danielle" the author provides access to his world.
This world is AMERICAN and UN shaped.

Why no chapter titles?
This great audiobook would be so much more helpful with proper chapter titles instead of just chapter 1/2/3/4/...

Unbalanced
A great book, everyone should read it. The upside is limitless. However, he completely underestimates the control problem of ASI, making the downside also limitless.
