There is a flood of Isekai Progression RPGs, and not even half of them are decent. A Soldier's Life is one of the few exceptions, if you ask me. Yes, the protagonist got a cheat ability, and YES, plot armor is thick with this one, BUT instead of destroying all the fun by never letting the MC feel defeat or have any real growth at all, we see persistent progress in the MC’s personality and abilities. I binged the three available books in less than a week, and I don’t regret it.

I hope book 4 keeps the pace and that we get to see some romance with the Elf or the junior Mage from book 1.
