I have read a lot of (feminist) retellings of Greek myths and the recent abundance of new publication often were rather underwhelming. Not this one. The story centers around three women figures and how their lives got interwoven by Perseus. It is a slow moving account that knows exactly what it wants to be and how it needs to deliver it's story. I felt so close and had so much sympathy for each protagonist. Their personalities and lives they forged for themselves are inspiring. The narrator was excellent, bringing to live their desperation and determination respectively. And ultimately giving voice to those who are not only granted one but used them to bring about change.
