I had listened to most of Michael Robotham's detective novels in the past and liked them well enough - but this is something else! More reminiscent of Ruth Rendell's masterpieces, this suspense thriller takes us deep into the minds of two women whose lives intersect, with heartbreaking consequences.

I don't want to give anything away, but this is a good story with a nice twist. I especially liked the build-up, the end might have been a little over-dramatic. Anyway, well read and well told.

Lucy Price-Lewis is a fantastic narrator. She gets everything right including the pace and the accents (which I'm quite fussy about). The story is well written and enthralling. Overall a great companion for the daily commute.

when I started listening to the book it automatically reminded me of "girl on the train". two perspectives, many secrets.
it's well written and told, just at some points the logic is missing. weird and mysterious things happen but the characters don't even bother to investigate or feel being lied to.

...errr I meant listened to. I loved it. I kept on thinking about the book when I wasn't listening to it and looking forward to when I would be able to continue. At times I would try to listen at work but then I would just stop because I always got interrupted and it annoyed me. I needed to better concentrate and listen again, when I was alone. That's how much I was into this book! 😂

Ich sah „Oh, ein neuer Robotham“ und hab sofort auf „Kaufen“ geklickt. Gar nicht erst warten, bis der auf Deutsch kommt.

Tja - und dann hab ich dieses Buch gehört. Alles, was diese Geschichte mit den O‘Loughlin/Ruiz Büchern gemein hat, ist der psychologische Ansatz.

In die Psyche zweier Frauen. Oder eher nur einer Frau. Aber das
