The only downside? After finishing it, you have to wait approximately 5+ years for the next one 🤷🏼‍♂️😅

It’s a nice, long story with good potential, but a few things held it back for me. Early on, the main character makes decisions that feel predictable and sometimes not as smart as he’s supposed to be. Also, the book includes so much information about Prague’s history and background that it often overshadows the actual story. Overall, enjoyable—but the balance between narrative and detail could have been better.

This is a satisfying story that offers much to ponder beyond its core plot. Yet the tone of American English alone fails to convey its ambitious content convincingly. Thank you, Donald.

Es war nicht möglich, aufzuhören, es war unglaublich spannend, intelligent, aufführen..... Ich kann es nur empfehlen!

Einziges Manko, Textpassagen in Tschechisch so schlecht vorgelesen, mit falscher Betonung und Aussprache. Klar muss der Vorleser nicht für dieses Buch nicht extra Tschechisch lernen, aber es gibt doch KI, die mit Aussprache helfen kann. Für die meisten Zuhörer im Westen, ist das nicht relevant. Nur ein verschwindet kleiner Teil davon spricht Tschechisch.

Story ist ok, aber statt Charakteren Tiefe zu geben, verliert der Autor sich in Detailbeschreibungen. damit bleiben viele Entwicklungen unverständlich, beispielsweise warum die Botschafterin so plötzlich 'anders' ist. im Detail passen viele Dinge einfach nicht zusammen. die letzten 20 Minuten fühlen sich wie ein übermässiger Epilog an, die Story ist längst zu Ende.
