Über diesen Titel

When Erik and Rugrat entered the ten realms they didn’t know what was going on. They only knew that they had contracted the two week curse.

When entering the second realm they came to understand their character sheets, and part of the system that is called the ten realms. A place that the strong make the rules and the weak cling to them for protection and hope that they might be left in peace.

They passed through the trials of the Beast Mountain Dungeon, taking control of it and becoming the leader of nearly 200 people.

Now in command of the Alva Dungeon and looking to forge a new future, they need more power, mana stones, dungeon cores, monster cores, if not then the Dungeon will stop functioning and they will need to relocate once again.

As they ascend to the second realm, Erik and Rugrat need to grow their skills, gain information, and find a dungeon. It’s hardly ever that easy.

I think the narrator and the story are pretty enjoyable. I like the world of the Ten Realms a lot - the social, economic, cultural, influential differences between each realm elevates this story-world from many others. However, two things I will call out:
1. the author's preference towards this word constellation "FILL IN BLANK isn't simple". There are so many beautiful words in the English language but instead of using it feels like every chapter 1/3 impressive events, objects, people etc. are described with "... isn't simple".
2. Chinese names around every corner. I have NEVER heard/ read any book with a 1/10 of Chinese names in them. I mean if you have names like Shau Ching, Tzao Su, Chung, Hang Hou, which probably aren't the exact names from the book but you get an idea of how 85% of all characters in this series are called. To me, I can't remember these names because they don't make an impression on me. I also don't like sound of the Chinese language - imo it is one of the least attractive language on earth. Author if you HAVE create an amazing fantasy world populated by pseudo Asians, please use Asian languages that sound good e.g. Japanese.

Decent story & weird Chinese names

So the story is good, with much focus on crafting. But the change in the narration? I don't know why they did that and changed back again in book 6 or 7 I think but it was not a good choice. Compared to the first books narration this is a step down. The characters seem very different through the subpar narration. Either every side character sounds like an old grandma/dad with a bad Chinese accent or like little kids with Chinese accents.

Following two main characters is actually really good. Both are very interesting and are really different from each other. Love the interactions between them.

U should buy it to 100%. The book is thrilling, fascinating, funny and it has this feeling of adventure and progress.

I loved the story and world but there is a lack of editing visible. A big one of the consistency errors is the cost of using the Totems that without any explanation change from a monster core to a mana stone thats an increase by a factor of 1000.
