The Boy lives in a cottage with his mother and father, and the Dragon lives in a cave on the Downs. The Boy is his only friend. The Dragon is not at all the sort of Dragon one might expect to meet, however: he's polite and friendly.

I really liked this story. It was quite adorable and wholesome and even though I thought it to be a children‘s story at first, it is definitely still worth listening to as a non-child.

The narration was simply superb and I am amazed at how much life and personality Anton Lesser is able to give the characters.

Lastly, I want to mention that even though English isn’t my native language (and I‘m probably not the best person to judge this) I found the language in this story very beautiful as well.
