Joe Navarro says that it is not realistic to say what a particular movement or pose mean in general. He says that it always depends on the context. He says that the only thing that we can read is if the other person is feeling COMFORT or DISCOMFORT. And that it is up to us to interpret what the meaning of this comfort / discomfort is.

He begins talking about the feet, then the legs, then hips, upwards... and finally the face. All is material to observe, they all say something.

Joe Navarro is a great reader and seems like a likeable guy. It is as if a friend is telling you what he knows.

Great audiobook, highly recommended.

If your looking for a good working version of the concept of body language and need a place to start, this is perfect. However there is so much more to it and you need to continue with other works to really be proficient.

Am Anfang muss man sich ein klein - klein wenig an Joe als Sprecher gewöhnen. Entweder es gelang mir oder er wurde im Verlauf des Buches besser. Oder ich war einfach vom Inhalt gefesselt. So gut rübergebracht und mit Beispielen aus dem wahren / erfahrenen Leben untermauert. Hossa! Das Buch hat es in sich. Absolute Kaufempfehlung

Übertrifft alle Erwartungen - Hammer Buch

The content is great und broken down so that one remembers key input!... But: the format is a joke. I was disappointed because I was expecting the book to be read, I was hoping for a train of thought, a literary experience. Instead they simply play the audio file of the CD or DVD (yes you read that right) sold with the book in the 1990ies. This means that "chapters" in the middle of the book start with "hello, today in the session we will focus on..." and there is a transition music orgy with synthesizers. Hire reading professionals instead of having me pay for old material, please. this is sloppy execution.
